About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop portable command and control systems for aerial robotic teams operating with ground forces. You'll own core product development, conduct trade studies, design electro-mechanical systems, and lead hardware demonstrations in a fast-paced defense technology environment.
What you'll do
- Evaluate engineering concepts and perform physics-based trade studies for complex problems
- Design, implement, and test electro-mechanical systems with high autonomy
- Lead design reviews, vendor management, and hardware test plan execution
- Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition projects to production
- Support customer hardware demonstrations and conduct on-site testing
- Perform power system and electrical loading analysis, simulation, and testing

- Power electronics and control systems (low and high voltage)
- Lab equipment proficiency (oscilloscopes, power supplies, analyzers, DMM)
- Battery and UPS system design across multiple chemistries
- Schematic interpretation and PCB layout analysis
- Engineering first principles and physics-based analysis
- Thermal and electrical analysis
- Hands-on prototyping (soldering, assembly, harnessing)
- MIL-STD requirements (1275, 461, 810, DTL-38999)
