About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Deputy Chief Engineer to lead the technical development of advanced small drone systems for military applications. You'll oversee the full lifecycle from concept through production, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge autonomous platforms like Altius, Anvil, Bolt, and Ghost.
What you'll do
- Lead technical execution from design through fabrication, testing, and production of small unmanned aerial systems
- Define product milestones, conduct design reviews, and manage engineering risk across cross-functional teams
- Develop system architectures balancing software and hardware requirements for robust, cost-effective designs
- Coordinate prototype and production fabrication plus subsystem and system-level testing efforts
- Support field testing, remote troubleshooting, and verification of deployed systems
- Collaborate with technical SMEs and business teams to identify and address capability gaps
