About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Chief Engineer to lead conceptual design and advanced development of the Fury air vehicle platform. You'll architect next-generation flight systems, drive technical execution from concept through prototype, and guide cross-disciplinary teams in translating innovative ideas into executable air vehicle solutions.

What you'll do

  • Lead conceptual design and configuration exploration of advanced air vehicle platforms with comprehensive trade studies and performance modeling
  • Apply first-principles engineering across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, flight controls, autonomy, and mission systems
  • Define holistic system architectures integrating air vehicle design, autonomy, mission systems, and manufacturing considerations
  • Conduct cross-disciplinary trade studies to understand system interactions, sensitivities, and failure modes
  • Identify and mature key scientific and technical breakthroughs for new operational capabilities
  • Guide concepts from early exploration through prototype-ready air vehicle designs
