About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Chief Engineer to lead conceptual design and advanced development of the Fury air vehicle platform. You'll architect next-generation flight systems, drive technical execution from concept through prototype, and guide cross-disciplinary teams in translating innovative ideas into executable air vehicle solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead conceptual design and configuration exploration of advanced air vehicle platforms with comprehensive trade studies and performance modeling
- Apply first-principles engineering across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, flight controls, autonomy, and mission systems
- Define holistic system architectures integrating air vehicle design, autonomy, mission systems, and manufacturing considerations
- Conduct cross-disciplinary trade studies to understand system interactions, sensitivities, and failure modes
- Identify and mature key scientific and technical breakthroughs for new operational capabilities
- Guide concepts from early exploration through prototype-ready air vehicle designs
