About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a BOM Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost optimization for defense technology hardware. You'll collaborate with suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to manage product sourcing across full lifecycles while reducing complexity and controlling total cost of ownership.

What you'll do

  • Conduct supplier selection and partner with strategic suppliers on concept development, design trade-offs, and should-cost modeling
  • Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs while managing CAPEX throughout new product introduction
  • Perform value-stream mapping and risk assessments including alternate component sourcing strategies
  • Lead cost engineering activities to optimize bottoms-up cost curves and maximize total cost of ownership
  • Ensure component qualifications are completed before production and manage ad-hoc cost issues like tariffs and inflation
  • Drive complexity reduction through component commonality optimization and supplier rationalization
