About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an AI Solutions Engineer to build and own AI agents and automation systems across their talent acquisition function. You'll develop LLM-powered tools that solve recruiting problems—from sourcing to scheduling—while managing the strategic roadmap, conducting build-vs-buy assessments, and ensuring compliance in a regulated defense environment.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship AI agents and automations for recruiting workflows (sourcing, screening, outreach, scheduling, reporting) with measurable ROI
  • Own the TA AI and automation roadmap end-to-end, including prioritization, sequencing, and leadership communication
  • Conduct rigorous build-vs-buy evaluations of vendors and custom solutions against scalability, cost, safety, and compliance criteria
  • Partner with Corporate Technology to align solutions with company AI infrastructure, models, and security posture
  • Define success metrics and instrument monitoring for deployed systems; retire underperforming initiatives
  • Drive AI literacy across the recruiting organization through training, documentation, and best practice guidance

What they're looking for

  • Applied AI/LLM engineering (agents, tool use, RAG, evaluations)
  • Python and software engineering fundamentals (APIs, version control, testing, deployment)
  • Production software development (4+ years)
  • Recruiting and talent acquisition domain knowledge
  • Safety, compliance, and governance (PII, ITAR/CUI, audit trails)
  • Build-vs-buy assessment and vendor evaluation
  • Pragmatic problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
