About this role
Ampersand is seeking a Founding Developer Relations professional to build community presence and establish developer advocacy for their AI integration platform. You'll create technical content, speak at conferences, improve developer documentation, and serve as the bridge between the developer community and product team.
What you'll do
- Own and improve developer documentation quality and clarity
- Create technical tutorials, guides, API references, and sample applications
- Write deep-dive technical blog posts about product features and integration best practices
- Source and speak at conferences; prepare talks and demos for accepted proposals
- Host and coordinate developer community meetups and events
- Advocate for developers by identifying and addressing onboarding and product friction points
What they're looking for
- 3+ years in developer relations, advocacy, solutions engineering, or software engineering
- Strong coding ability across multiple languages; credible to developer audiences
- Technical writing that educates rather than markets
- Public speaking and conference presentation experience
- API, integration, or infrastructure product expertise
- End-to-end product thinking and attention to user experience details
- Excellent written and verbal communication
