Validation Engineer, Controller Integration
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Validation Engineer to test and validate electronic controller units (ECUs) for robotic vehicle systems. You'll develop test plans, troubleshoot firmware and hardware integration issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure controllers meet requirements from component through production stages.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute firmware and hardware integration test plans for new ECU components and features
- Verify bootloader, power management, network communication, and other ECU requirements
- Troubleshoot and root-cause electrical issues during component bring-up and fleet operations
- Analyze log data and source code to identify and debug system-level issues
- Conduct system bring-up and integration testing at vehicle level to validate design assumptions
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and system teams to plan validation strategies
