About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Mechanical Engineer II in Twinsburg, Ohio to design and develop mechanical components for rotating machinery in aerospace and industrial applications. You'll create CAD models, perform engineering analyses, ensure design compliance, and support product development from concept through testing under senior engineer guidance.
What you'll do
- Design mechanical components and subassemblies for rotating machinery using 3D CAD and 2D drawings
- Perform engineering analyses including tolerance studies, bearing calculations, and preload assessments
- Ensure designs meet company standards, GD&T requirements, and design-for-manufacturability principles
- Contribute to design reviews, identify technical risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Support testing, validation, and customer proposal development activities
- Communicate technical progress and resolve issues affecting products and development
