E&I Engineer
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced E&I Engineer to design industrial control systems and instrumentation for water treatment facilities. You'll manage complex low-voltage systems compliant with UL and CEC standards, interpret engineering documents, perform calculations, and lead cross-functional project teams while ensuring operator and equipment safety.
What you'll do
- Design and select instrumentation and control systems for water treatment facilities with safety compliance
- Interpret P&IDs, engineering documents, and customer specifications; provide technical comments
- Develop low-voltage industrial control panels and schematics compliant with UL/CEC standards for Class 1 Div 2 areas
- Manage project budgets, scope, and schedules while identifying risks and opportunities
- Lead cross-functional team discussions and client meetings to provide technical guidance
- Support project bids and develop documentation including load lists, I/O lists, and datasheets
