Durability Test Engineer
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Durability Test Engineer to develop and execute whole-vehicle durability testing programs for an autonomous robotaxi platform. The role involves designing test plans, conducting proving ground and road tests, analyzing in-service failures, and communicating durability findings to design teams.
What you'll do
- Design and manage comprehensive whole-vehicle durability and accelerated mileage accumulation test plans
- Lead durability testing execution at proving grounds, public roads, and specialized test facilities
- Plan and execute on-vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition to capture loads, strains, and vibrations
- Investigate durability-related failures through root cause analysis and field data review
- Track and verify performance of newly integrated components during vehicle-level testing
- Generate detailed reports on test results and communicate design mitigations to engineering teams
