Brake Performance Engineer
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Brake Performance Engineer to develop and validate brake systems for advanced vehicles, including electric and autonomous platforms. You'll optimize brake performance, coordinate with drivetrain systems, establish testing methodologies, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting simulation and fleet monitoring.
What you'll do
- Develop brake performance specifications and braking comfort characteristics
- Test and optimize interactions between brake and drivetrain actuators
- Establish performance metrics, targets, and requirements for vehicle-level systems
- Create and refine testing methodologies and conduct vehicle validation
- Support simulation development and perform data analysis for issue resolution
- Lead FMVSS-related testing and monitor fleet performance dashboards
