About this role

Allen Control Systems, a defense startup founded by former Navy engineers, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to develop Linux drivers and optimize embedded systems for NVIDIA Jetson platforms supporting autonomous drone defense technology. You'll enable high-performance computer vision applications through low-level software integration with custom hardware and sensors.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers for Jetson platforms including Ethernet, USB, and MIPI camera interfaces
  • Write and optimize drivers for custom PCIe devices and FPGAs
  • Configure and optimize embedded Linux distributions for NVIDIA Jetson to meet performance requirements
  • Collaborate with hardware and computer vision teams on sensor and accelerator integration
  • Debug low-level system issues and resolve performance bottlenecks in real-time applications
  • Document driver implementations, hardware interfaces, and configuration processes
