About this role
Lead aeromechanical engineer role developing unmanned aerial systems and autonomous platforms from concept through production. You'll guide a small engineering team, conduct design analysis, and interface with customers on defense-focused projects requiring active Top Secret clearance.
What you'll do
- Lead design and development of UAS products and subsystems as senior engineer
- Perform FEA and CFD simulation analysis on aircraft and powerplants
- Build and test prototype systems to validate designs from concept to production
- Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-functional engineering teams
- Conduct formal and informal presentations on design solutions to stakeholders
- Manage project schedules and budgets while meeting performance requirements
