About this role
Senior flight test engineer needed to lead UAS and aviation systems testing for a defense contractor. You'll oversee complete flight test cycles from planning through analysis, coordinate with contractors and government stakeholders, and ensure programs stay on schedule while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
What you'll do
- Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of flight testing including data collection, analysis, and report generation
- Provide project leadership for developmental and operational test programs
- Interface with test organizations, contractors, and government representatives on technical approvals and scheduling
- Review and assess modifications to air vehicles, ground control stations, and support equipment
- Evaluate test data and provide recommendations for problem-solving
- Coordinate test item maintenance and modifications with prime and sub-contractors
