About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks an experienced DOD Security Operations Engineer to support the Joint Staff in planning and executing full-spectrum cyber operations at Fort Meade, MD. The role involves monitoring security threats, investigating incidents, and managing enterprise-level security policies for government defense and national security missions.
What you'll do
- Monitor and analyze system logs, network traffic, and user behavior to identify security threats
- Investigate security incidents to determine nature, scope, and impact
- Coordinate with incident response teams to contain, mitigate, and remediate confirmed threats
- Utilize SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and security tools to detect incidents
- Document incidents and resolutions to maintain comprehensive security event records
- Develop and refine enterprise-level security policies and best practices

- Security Operations Center (SOC) management (5+ years)
- GovCloud and AWS/Azure/Google Cloud expertise
- SIEM, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring tools
- DOD 8140/8570 IAM Level III certification required
- Cybersecurity protocols and threat landscape knowledge
- NIST compliance and security frameworks
- Incident management and threat intelligence analysis
- Cyber operations infrastructure development (preferred)
