About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Cloud Cost/Finance Engineer to optimize cloud spending and governance across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments for federal clients. You'll balance technical cloud capabilities with financial oversight, serving as a bridge between cloud platform teams and application stakeholders while driving cost efficiency and operational excellence.
What you'll do
- Establish and enforce FinOps policies and best practices across multi-cloud platforms
- Optimize cloud commitments and pricing models (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans)
- Review cloud architectures for cost-effectiveness and identify efficiency improvements
- Build automation tools and scripts to detect cost anomalies and enforce governance
- Create dashboards and data visualizations to track financial and operational metrics
- Partner with development teams to refactor applications for improved cloud efficiency
