About this role
Cloud Chamber seeks a Gameplay Engineer to develop core gameplay systems for the upcoming BioShock title using Unreal Engine 5. You'll collaborate with design, art, and audio teams to implement player-centric features like character controls, camera, and weapons while balancing technical excellence with creative vision.
What you'll do
- Design and implement gameplay systems and features including player verbs, camera, and weapon mechanics
- Collaborate with design and art teams to translate creative concepts into functional gameplay
- Adapt existing Unreal Engine 5 systems and build new technology to meet project requirements
- Identify and solve technical risks and developmental obstacles
- Partner with animation and audio teams to integrate all gameplay elements
- Stay current on industry technological advancements and best practices
