About this role
1X is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and scale production processes for humanoid robots. You'll own machining, assembly, and validation workflows that transform prototype designs into high-volume, quality production while supporting rapid iteration and manufacturing efficiency.
What you'll do
- Develop manufacturing processes for critical robotic components from prototype through production scale
- Design fixtures, tooling, CAM programs, and automation solutions to improve cycle time and yield
- Lead NPI programs and support production ramp while maintaining quality and manufacturing readiness
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using SPC, root-cause analysis, and process controls
- Establish inspection methods, quality metrics, and documentation for repeatable production
- Collaborate across engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams
