Harbinger, an innovative EV manufacturer, seeks an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and validation of high-voltage power systems (100kW to MW scale) for medium-duty electric vehicles. The role combines strategic system design with hands-on laboratory work, requiring proven expertise in high-power electronics across industries like automotive, aerospace, or energy storage.
What you'll do
- Design and architect high-power electronics including on-board chargers, DC-DC converters, and traction inverters
- Lead end-to-end testing and integration of power electronics with powertrain and charging ecosystem components
- Oversee complex PCB design for high-reliability, high-performance applications per IPC standards
- Conduct DFMEA, thermal analysis, worst-case circuit analysis, and validation testing on HV systems
- Architect test benches and provide hands-on support for board, component, and vehicle-level bring-up
- Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot electrical and EMI issues; engage with suppliers on component selection
