Mechatronics Engineer
About this role
Hadrian seeks a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to design and deploy electromechanical systems for autonomous manufacturing facilities serving aerospace and defense industries. You'll own mechanism design, electrical integration, and factory commissioning of robotic automation systems from concept through production validation.
What you'll do
- Develop end-of-arm tooling and payloads for robotic pick-and-place and mobile robot applications
- Design and release electromechanical systems with full technical ownership
- Select and integrate motion components including actuators, pneumatics, and bearings
- Develop industrial electrical systems and control panels
- Lead hands-on factory floor commissioning and validation, including multi-site deployment support
- Perform system troubleshooting and root cause analysis

- Mechanical design and kinematics for automation systems
- Electrical fundamentals including power and signal integrity
- Industrial robot integration (FANUC, ABB, KUKA)
- PLC controls programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Honeywell)
- GD&T and manufacturing standards
- Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA)
- Basic scripting (Python, structured text)
- Statics, dynamics, and tolerance analysis
