Network Security Engineer
About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks a Network Security Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-class network security solutions for federal government clients in the DC metro area. This role requires hands-on expertise with firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, load balancers, and malware defense platforms, plus an active TS/SCI clearance.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and manage next-generation firewall policies and configurations
- Administer enterprise load balancers with TLS break/inspect capabilities
- Analyze and architect worldwide network security infrastructure
- Investigate and document security incidents with corrective action implementation
- Brief senior leadership on enterprise network security status and posture
- Support integration of new cybersecurity requirements into enterprise systems
