AI Security Engineer - Mid-Atlantic region (Remote in VA, MD, PA, NC, DE, NJ, or DC)
About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks an AI Security Engineer to help enterprise clients secure their generative AI implementations. You'll assess AI/ML security posture, conduct threat modeling, advise on safe cloud AI service integration, and develop comprehensive security strategies for AI workloads.
What you'll do
- Assess security posture of AI/ML systems including LLMs and GenAI pipelines against frameworks like OWASP LLM Top 10
- Lead threat modeling exercises for AI workloads covering adversarial inputs, prompt injection, data poisoning, and supply chain risks
- Advise on secure integration of SaaS AI services and APIs into enterprise applications with proper credential and data handling
- Evaluate data ingestion pipelines, RAG architectures, and vector databases to prevent unauthorized data exposure
- Serve as security advisor bridging business stakeholders, AI/ML engineers, IT operations, and security teams
- Develop security documentation, control frameworks, and AI security roadmaps with prioritized remediation plans

- Cloud security and application security (5+ years)
- Agentic AI systems implementation and management in enterprise environments
- AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex, or similar cloud AI services
- Python programming
- LLM concepts, context engineering, and foundational AI/ML principles
- AI-specific threat modeling and prompt injection/data poisoning attack vectors
- Technical and non-technical communication
- Access controls, data protection, and security architecture design
