About this role
Gotion Inc. seeks a Junior Equipment Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of lithium battery manufacturing equipment at their new Manteno, IL facility. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in industrial automation and battery production, working alongside senior engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of electrode, coating, stacking, and cell assembly equipment
- Support equipment acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) and maintain detailed documentation
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues
- Collect and analyze equipment performance data to identify optimization opportunities
- Develop and update standard operating procedures and work instructions for production teams
- Coordinate with vendors, process engineering, quality, and production teams to meet manufacturing goals
