Junior Controls Engineer
About this role
Gotion Inc. seeks a Junior Controls Engineer to support battery manufacturing operations at their Manteno, IL facility. You'll work with experienced teams on PLC programming, equipment troubleshooting, automation projects, and process optimization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations and equipment performance monitoring
- Troubleshoot control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation equipment
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teams on equipment issues
- Assist with equipment startups, commissioning, and production line qualifications
- Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Help maintain technical documentation and provide training to production personnel
