About this role
Goodway Group seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data systems supporting analytics and business operations in a remote-first, award-winning media and marketing firm. You'll own production data pipelines, drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines and platforms for analytics and ML workloads
- Own data architecture and system design at the team level, including data models and storage solutions
- Enforce code quality, testing standards, and best practices across data workflows
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to define requirements and align with business goals
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews, documentation, and technical guidance
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks including scalability, data integrity, and edge cases

- 5+ years data engineering experience
- SQL and Python/Scala programming
- Scalable data pipeline design (batch and streaming)
- Modern data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
