General Matter, a nuclear fuel enrichment startup backed by top-tier investors, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and scale production processes for uranium enrichment systems. You'll bridge development and production by collaborating with design teams, building prototypes, and establishing quality practices that enable cost-effective manufacturing.

What you'll do

  • Develop scalable manufacturing processes ensuring reliability and safety
  • Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability, performance, safety, and cost improvements
  • Build, assemble, and validate prototypes and test stands
  • Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and implement hardware solutions
  • Establish manufacturing and quality practices that scale through production phases

  • 3D CAD proficiency (Solidworks, CATIA, NX, or similar)
  • GD&T and manufacturing drawing expertise
  • Hardware assembly and hands-on building experience
