About this role

Garner seeks a Software Engineer II to build and optimize healthcare analytics systems that process medical data at scale using AI and distributed architectures. You'll work on mission-critical infrastructure in NYC (3 days/week on-site) while tackling complex technical challenges in a fast-growing healthcare tech company.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain distributed event-driven software systems using AWS and Kubernetes
  • Leverage AI tools to optimize code quality and system performance
  • Collaborate across teams to understand healthcare domain requirements and iterate on solutions
  • Implement security best practices and ensure HIPAA compliance in all systems
  • Process and analyze billions of medical records to rank healthcare providers
  • Champion modern engineering practices as system load scales rapidly
