About this role

Freeform is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own hardware projects from concept through production, developing innovative manufacturing systems that blend software, hardware, and physics. You'll design and test complex mechanical components while collaborating across disciplines in a fast-paced environment focused on advancing manufacturing technology.

What you'll do

  • Lead hardware projects from initial concept through CAD design and production deployment
  • Research, develop, and test complex mechanical components, subassemblies, and equipment systems
  • Perform tolerance analysis at system and subsystem levels
  • Plan and execute tests to validate feasibility, design, operation, and performance
  • Build, integrate, and validate designs and newly developed systems hands-on
  • Develop continuous improvement strategies to enhance performance, reliability, and manufacturability
