About this role
Formlabs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop geometric algorithms and features for PreForm, their industry-leading 3D printer desktop application. You'll collaborate across software, hardware, and design teams to ship complex features used by tens of thousands of users worldwide, including companies like Apple, Tesla, and NASA.
What you'll do
- Develop desktop 3D printer software with emphasis on geometric algorithms and computational geometry
- Integrate R&D-researched features into the production PreForm codebase
- Implement and optimize complex algorithms for features shipped to thousands of users
- Collaborate with Product Management on long-term feature roadmap definition
- Work cross-functionally with Hardware, Design, and other Software teams
- Research and apply computer science advances to algorithm development
