About this role

Figure, an AI robotics company in San Jose, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop structural components for humanoid robot hands. You'll own the complete design lifecycle from concept through production, collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment with 5 days/week in-office work.

What you'll do

  • Design 3D CAD structural parts meeting load, durability, and manufacturability constraints
  • Conduct structural analysis, FEA, and tolerance stack-ups to validate designs
  • Create GD&T-compliant 2D drawings per ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Prototype, test, and validate structural performance and reliability
  • Partner with manufacturers and supply chain to support production ramp-up and troubleshooting
  • Drive failure analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing, testing, and field issues
