About this role
Figure, an AI robotics company developing autonomous humanoid robots, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and build prototype hardware for integration and testing. You'll own the full development lifecycle of test equipment and prototype components, working hands-on with cross-functional teams in a full-time, in-office role in San Jose.
What you'll do
- Design and build prototype robot components validated against real-world loading and failure conditions
- Develop and maintain dynos for actuator testing, validation, and integration
- Create precise 2D technical drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering and systems integration teams on hands-on testing activities
- Own prototype integration and test equipment from concept through completion
